Kase Wolverine Neutral Density Filters are the perfect complement to your landscape photography. If you have never used the Wolverine filters, you will be amazed at how good they are. They resist scratching and produce almost no flare, even when shooting directly into the sun. When they get wet, water rolls off the surface making them easy to use and clean. They are also highly neutral and won’t produce unwanted colour casts as many other brands will.
Neutral density filters allow you to reduce the amount of light that comes into the camera sensor to allow for longer shutter speeds or wider apertures. This can be used to great effect to smooth out water in seascapes or at waterfalls, and to create cloud movement in the sky. At night you can even use it to remove people from city shots or create light trails.
The ND1000 filter reduces light by 1000 times to enable you to increase your exposure time significantly, e.g. a 1/8 second exposure becomes 2 minutes long, or 1/30 second exposure becomes 30 seconds.
